Please be aware that the majority of the dog will take some time to get used to a new home. These dogs , often times, are strays and most likely are not housebroken. Even if it came from a family background it will not understand what is expected in their new environment nor would you know its behavior when a trip outside is required.
All our dogs are crate trained and we advocate using one initially, until your new pet becomes accustomed to the new surroundings. It will also give you peace of mind should you have to leave the dog for some time as well as giving the dog a sense of security.
